You might have seen this home and thought:

I WANT A HOUSE LIKE THAT

Well, you can.

Big Sky Lodge is our own home — a new build designed from the beginning to feel like it had been there for years.

It was never about making a new house look old in a contrived way. It was about creating the feeling of a home with history: solid materials, considered details, colour, texture, character and all the little things that make a house feel collected over time.

And after living in it, I know exactly what makes it work.

Now, rather than selling Big Sky Lodge, I'm opening up the idea behind it.

BUILD YOUR OWN VERSION

If you're planning a new build and love the look and feeling of Big Sky Lodge, let's work together to create your own version.

You bring the site and your ideas.

I'll bring the design, the experience and all the details that make a Big Sky house a Big Sky house.

Together, we'll adapt the concept to suit your section, your family and the way you want to live — while keeping the character and design language that drew you to the house in the first place.

THINK OF IT AS A HEAD START

Rather than starting with a blank piece of paper, we'll start with a house that has already been designed, built and lived in.

The exterior. The kitchen. The bathrooms. The colours. The lighting. The flooring. The tapware. The hardware. The wallpaper. The panelling. The little details.

I've already made the decisions, tested them in real life and worked out how they come together.

You don't have to reinvent the wheel.

NEW HOUSE. OLD SOUL.

This is the whole reason Big Sky Lodge exists.

I wanted the performance and practicality of a modern new build without the feeling of walking into a brand-new showhome.

So we used timber, brick, stone, colour, wallpaper, traditional details, vintage-inspired lighting and plenty of contrast to give the house a sense of age and personality.

It's a new house.

But it doesn't feel new.

That's the part I want to help you recreate.

SO, ARE YOU BUILDING?

If you're thinking about building a new home and Big Sky Lodge feels like your kind of house, I'd love to hear from you.

Raw. Mood. Studio will work with you on the design and interior direction, adapting the Big Sky concept to your site and your life.

Construction will be handled separately by an experienced building partner, so you get the benefit of a proven design without having to start from scratch.
